Dear
Readers,
If we had no winter, the spring would
not be so pleasant; If we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity
would not be so welcome.
~Anne Bradstreet
We could not
agree more. Like with any success small or large, you can only really enjoy the
reward after putting in the work, hours upon hours. We have little doubt that
the sweetest rewards are seen after the toughest times…So very important to
remember at times like these, but just like the spring has come and the warm
rays shine on us, more prosperous times are also ahead, for all of us. We at The Southern Maryland Woman are seeing
the blossoms bloom as we approach our One Year Anniversary!
As
always, please enjoy the articles in our May/June issue and don’t forget to
stay in touch. Visit www.southernmarylandwoman.com
as often as possible & let us know what is most important to you: the kind
of topics, professionals and people you would like to see and learn more about
in your journal.
Best
Wishes for a very Happy Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. We all have to remember
to call our mothers, grandmothers, fathers and grandfathers often and tell them
how much they mean to us!
This issue is published in
memory of two very special women, Mary Margaret Fellinger, and Oda Prinzessin
zu Stolberg-Wernigeriode, without whom The
Southern Maryland Woman would not exist. We often think of you, feel your
presence and see your smiles.
