Fall is bursting with brilliant colors with coppery reds, fiery oranges and golden yellows. This year’s color trends are perfect for fall. Pantatone’s color of the year, Tangerine Tango is a warm bright orange; there couldn’t be a better fall color for home décor trends. Use it as a bold accent against softer shades of blue. This year’s trends are bold and unexpected. So take that dated chandelier and paint it a bright orange against gray walls. If you have neutral furniture and want to brighten the room, use Benjamin Moore’s Tuscan Coral paint.
Aside from color, Rustic Glamour is another great trend for fall. Rustic Glamour uses glamorous mirrors and lighting with rustic woods, to keep the look grounded. Sophisticated fabrics and curves are a must when trying to accomplish the Rustic Glamour look. Use metallic leather on a traditional piece of furniture, or wallpaper your ceiling in a neutral tone with a bold pattern and some shine. This statement gives your home the “wow” factor and tells the world you are a confident home owner.
Gold is back! Use it with simple lighting around the house or with bathroom fixtures. It’s not the dated brass look, but more of a brushed gold used on modern sleek styles. Using gold is kind of a throwback to the 1980’s Dynasty Glamour.
Also, this season you will see a lot of surrealistic furniture. This trend is all about conversation pieces that are sure to prompt discussion. Furniture with legs, that looks like something else, such as an animal’s feet or tree limbs are simple examples of this look. With surrealistic furniture, it’s about the unexpected.
Last but not least, is the Made in America trend. This is my personal favorite as I believe made in America products are made best! Many people around the U.S. are swapping out their foreign-made furniture and home accessories, for American made products. This trend is environmentally and economically friendly. With so many people becoming more conscious of what they are buying, you can expect to see more American made home décor products.
Here at Lola Belle Co. we are always looking for locally made, American products. Some of my favorite companies that are American made are: Rowe, H Home and Robin Bruce. We also have many locally produced products such as, hand crafted furniture, handmade soaps, jewelry and so much more!
With so many trends and styles to choose from, you’re sure to find the look that fits your personality and home best.
